RELACRE hosts CONFMET 2025
CONFMET 2025: the meeting point for Portuguese metrology
The 2025 edition of CONFMET – National Metrology Conference, organized by SPMet – Portuguese Metrology Society and RELACRE – Association of Accredited Laboratories of Portugal, in collaboration with IPQ – Portuguese Quality Institute, took place on 29 and 30 October 2025, at the IPQ premises in Caparica.
With the general theme ‘Measurements for all times, for all peoples’, the Conference was also a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Metre Convention and the 70th anniversary of the creation of the International Organization of Legal Metrology.
With significant participation from the academic, laboratory and industrial communities, it attracted over a hundred participants and more than two dozen sponsors and institutional supporters.
The program included invited presentations by professionals of recognized technical prestige, oral nd poster presentations, and a tutorial session. In the space adjacent to the Conference, there were presentations of the latest developments in equipment and technologies, which also served as a place for sharing experiences and socializing among the many professionals present.
The Conference reinforced the visibility and importance of Metrology in Portugal, also serving to strengthen ties between those who work in the fields of testing, measurement, and inspection.
