Pre-Post PT leaflet now available in French

prepost80The Eurachem PT working group has released a new, FrenchFR, translation of the information leaflet "Pre- and Post-analytical PT", bringing the number of language versions of this leaflet to 15. The translations can be downloaded here.

Terminology guide now in Ukrainian

Revised Eurachem Method Validation Guide released

The Eurachem method validation working group has  released a completely revised and updated edition of the Eurachem guide "The fitness for purpose of analytical methods".

First published in 1998, this guide gives general guidance on within-laboratory method validation. The new edition includes guidance on the concept of method validation; the background and rationale for method validation; how a method validation study should be performed and how much should be done; the various validation parameters (performance characteristics) and their determination; and follow-up issues such as reporting validation studies, method documentation, and use of performance data in Internal Quality Control. The new edition also includes brief notes on some aspects of validation that are specific to qualitative test methods.

The revised guide can be downloaded in PDF form from this website.

Reading list for metrology in chemistry published

The Eurachem Education and Training Working Group has prepared a reading list containing references to documents relating to all aspects of metrology in chemistry, with a particular focus on quality assurance. While not intended to be a comprehensive list of all publications relating to quality in analytical measurement, the list aims to provide references to a selection of websites, standards, guides and  books which will hopefully be of use to all those involved with chemical analysis, including laboratory staff, students, lecturers and trainers.

The reading list can be accessed here, both as a pdf version and as a series of web pages.

Eurachem/EQALM PT workshop - 2nd Circular available
